Weddings at Domaine du Caillau are designed as a relaxed, multi-day celebration, giving you and your guests time to savour every moment in the heart of the Lot Valley.

We host only a small number of weddings each year, allowing us to give each celebration the time and attention it deserves.

The flow of your wedding

The Day Before

Start your wedding celebrations with a relaxed pre-wedding gathering, bringing family and friends together before the big day. It's the perfect opportunity for everyone to meet, unwind and begin the celebrations in an informal setting.

For those wishing to host an informal evening, we can provide an in-house charcuterie and cheese buffet featuring local produce, or arrange external catering such as a hog roast or barbecue, depending on the style of celebration you have in mind.

For something a little different, we can also arrange a guided visit to our neighbouring vineyard, where guests can enjoy a tour followed by a private wine tasting.

Pre-wedding catering and vineyard experiences are available as optional extras.

The wedding day

The Ceremony

Exchange your vows in our garden overlooking the surrounding vineyards, creating a beautiful setting for your ceremony and photographs.

Should the weather be less predictable, ceremonies can instead take place beneath our covered stone barn in the courtyard, providing an elegant sheltered alternative while retaining the atmosphere of an outdoor celebration.

Drinks Reception

Following the ceremony, guests can gather in the courtyard for cocktails, champagne and canapés while photographs are taken. Whether accompanied by a string quartet, acoustic musician or carefully curated playlist, it's the perfect opportunity to relax, mingle and enjoy the surroundings before the wedding breakfast begins.

Food and drinks during the reception are arranged through your chosen caterer or drinks supplier.

The Wedding Breakfast

As your guests take their seats, the courtyard is transformed for your wedding breakfast, with tables arranged around the central fountain beneath festoon lighting, dressed with crisp white tablecloths, candles and elegant table settings.

Whether you envision a formal multi-course dinner, relaxed sharing feast, barbecue or something entirely bespoke, we liaise directly with your chosen caterers and trusted local suppliers to coordinate every detail, leaving you free to enjoy your day while creating a wedding breakfast that's entirely your own.

For couples looking for a simple, elegant centrepiece, we also offer handmade rustic wedding cakes, freshly prepared in-house. Available in a range of sizes, our two or three-tier cakes can be decorated with fresh flowers or fruit to complement your wedding style.

Evening Reception & Dancing

As evening falls, the courtyard becomes the perfect setting for your celebrations to continue.

Whether you choose a live band, DJ or your own playlist, we can help coordinate the entertainment and arrange professional sound equipment, transforming the courtyard into a magical setting for an evening of music and dancing beneath the stars.

The Day After

Extend the celebrations with a relaxed farewell brunch before everyone heads home.

Prepared in-house, our brunch features a selection of freshly baked pastries, local cheeses, breads, preserves and hot drinks, giving everyone the opportunity to gather one last time, reminisce about the wedding and enjoy a leisurely end to the weekend.

Brunch is available as an optional extra.

Whatever the Weather

While most celebrations take place outdoors, we know the weather doesn't always follow the plan. For rainy days, our indoor reception space can comfortably accommodate up to 70 guests, while the covered stone barn provides an elegant sheltered option for ceremonies and drinks. The indoor space is fully air-conditioned, ensuring everyone stays comfortable even during the warmest summer celebrations.
